Maasai Mara

​

Famed for the wilder beast migration, The Maasai Mara National Reserve  is a large game reserve in south-western Kenya, contiguous with the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania It is named after the Maasai people (the traditional inhabitants of the area) and their description of the area when looked at from afar: "Mara", which is Maasai (Maasai language) for "spotted," an apt description for the circles of trees, scrub, savanna, and cloud shadows that mark the area

​The Reserve stretches 1,510 sq km (580 sq miles) and raises 1,500-2,170 meters above sea level. The terrain of the reserve is primarily grassland and riverine forest with clumps of the distinctive acacia trees. It’s about 270 km from the capital city Nairobi

Nakuru

​

Nakuru town is located 160 km North West of Nairobi and is the fourth largest city in Kenya. It is situated at an altitude of 1859m above the sea level and it is within the region of the Great Rift.

The lake is world famous as the location of the greatest bird spectacle on earth - myriads of fuchsia pink flamingos whose numbers are legion, often more than a million - or even two million.

 

Nakuru is home to Lake Nakuru which forms part of the lake nakuru national park. The ecosystem provides for about 56 different species of mammals including the white rhino and buffaloes and a variety of terrestrial birds numbering nearly 450 species.

Mombasa

Located on Kenya’s Eastern coastline bordering the Indian Ocean, Mombasa is Kenya’s second largest city and is one of Africa’s major tourist destinations, with some of the best beaches in the world. Mombasa has become popular for its exotic beaches, diverse marine life, world-class hotels and friendly people. ​

In addition to its beautiful beaches, Mombasa offers a diverse cultural history. The City traces many of its cultural traditions to former Portuguese, Arab and British settlers – all of which have left a lasting influence on the City’s food, architecture, and people. Memorable attractions include the fort Jesus which’s located along the coastline near the Old Town; it is a monumental piece of architecture that was built in the 16th century by the Portuguese.
